"Can Simple Fast Healing Save Your Life?"

Warning!   The advice you're about to read is my personal opinion, based on experience, and it may or may not work for you.

I could give you the typical "legal" B.S.* about how you need to consult a "medical professional" and all that crud, but guess what?

*B.S., in this case, means: Bent Stupidity; "bent" being British slang for something dishonest, or illicit, read on to see what I mean...

Did you know that poisoning from prescription drugs, according to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report of February 9, 2007, is now the second highest cause of unintended deaths in the United States, killing 7.1 per 100,000 people in 2004, nearly double the death rate (4.4 per 100,000) in 1999?

I can imagine it's much worse than even that today!

Now it's easy to blame the drug companies and the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) for all this carnage, and they certainly do bear their share of guilt, but there are other far more responsible and equally guilty parties.

There's the AMA (American Medical Association), for instance, and their cohorts in crime, the national NEWS media.

And let's not forget all those medical doctors, without whose prescriptions none of this could have come about. And finally, the legal "profession" itself bears a lion's share of the guilt for this mass carnage, this genocide against the American public.

What My 15-Year-Old Son Taught Me

It was the sickest he's ever been, which on top of his lifelong handicaps of ataxia and deafness (due largely to medical incompetents when he was just a week old), left our middle son weak, in constant pain and suffering terribly from a very bad viral outbreak.

It started with a mosquito bite, and the West Nile Virus had already killed some local livestock and a person or two in the past few years.

Our son, Sam, began complaining about his neck hurting, and the pain just wouldn't quit, and only seemed to worsen over the next three days.

Because of what we know of medical means, and therefore trust more in natural healing modalities, our usual arsenal of Vitamin C and colloidal silver were put to good use, and without these I shudder to think what might have been the end result.

Rumors are that some locals have already died of this recent outbreak.

The elderly, mainly; but children are also likely early victims of such virulent contagions as this.

During this time our son ate, but it wasn't with his usual hardy teen appetite.

Still, everything we tried hardly worked and just kept the illness from progressing into something far more serious.   We went through a year's supply of Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) in less than two weeks!

Then, inspired by my own example, my son set out on a quest for health that had some pretty amazing results.

For the first time in his life, Sam decided to go beyond his former 24-hour total fasts, once a year, for religious observances.

Now he determined to fast "as long as it took" for him to get better.

Of course, he didn't total fast.   Instead, he drank plenty of water mixed with large amounts of Vitamin C (heaping tablespoonfuls at a time, several times daily and even when he awoke, suffering, in the middle of the night).

The first day was like seeing light at the end of a long, dark, cold tunnel for Sam.

By the end of the second day, his suffering was considerably relieved, though he still had the bad pain in his neck, and I was amazed he had made it that far, considering how little he had eaten the week before starting his fast.

When he began his third day of fasting, with every intention of following it though another full day, I was both happy to see he had the courage of his convictions, and a bit concerned because -- at 5 foot 2 inches and weighing in at only 89 pounds (after several days of fasting) -- Sam didn't have much more he could afford to lose.

But after nearly another full day fasting, his neck was all better, and Sam finally decided to end his fast and have some dinner.

In fact, I encouraged him to try to make it one last night, but even though he didn't feel like eating a full meal, he decided to have a little peanut butter on celery, and then some healthy soup (with ascorbic acid added) for dinner that evening.

Of course, as I expected from my own personal experiences, Sam regretted ending his fast so soon, when his former bad cough, that he seemed to be mostly over on the third day of fasting, returned slightly the next day, and continued to harass him for more than a week afterward.

My Long, Loooong, Fast

Prior to my first long fast, I had endured up to seven days of fasting, four days of total fasting (no fluids or food), and so many one to three day fasts since my late teens, that I've simply lost count.

But late in my 51st year on this earth I found a spiritual reason to endure what was to become a 34-day fast, the first three days of which was total fasting.

I had intended to try for at least 40 days, but by the end of the 34th day, late that night, I realized my limit had been reached, and suffered what I believe was a mini-stroke.

Needless to say, I ended that fast immediately.   Contrary to the doubtless opinion of some, I'm no masochist, and I know my limits!

Then, a little more than three years after ending that first long fast (three years and one day shy of three weeks, to be exact), I again found myself faced with a dire spiritual need for yet another long fast.

That fast was to last a total of 31-days, and continued through my 55th birth anniversary, and I was nearly forced to continue the fast against my will, due to circumstances over which I had little or no control.

After that I was forcibly starved (I was in captivity at the time) several times, for periods of six and seven days each, twice within a period of 38 days (forced against my will to miss 33% of all meals, at a time I was already grossly underweight and on a bare subsistence diet, when I was able and allowed to eat).

During my year-long captivity I was denied even the most basic of nutritional needs, rarely seeing any fresh fruit or vegetables (one wedge of an orange, one banana, and little else for the entire year).

I began to feel the effects of what I'm certain was a bad case of rickets (or scurvy), and slow starvation, and as a result suffered from untreated recurrent chest and heart pains, and a second mini-stroke, during this terrible time of horrendous mistreatment and abuse.

Somehow (I give thanks to my heavenly Creators for their merciful protection and for the stamina I needed to survive it all), I made it through this difficult and trying period.

Even so, I was to face several more weeks of homelessness and barely finding sufficient food to eat, through shelters and charitable efforts by others to help feed those who, like myself, were destitute, before I was finally able to return home to my wife, children and grandchildren once again (with whom I had no physical contact, and only a couple of brief phone calls -- less than 5 minutes each -- the entire year of my forced absence, thanks to my sadistic captors).

But that's another story, for another time, and not the reason why I'm writing this to you...

Fasting Again, Even As I Write

You see, through all these unavoidable events and circumstances, I've learned some valuable lessons that can benefit you.

Some contagions just don't like to leave us in peace (some, I'm sure, prefer to only leave us resting in peace).

Such was the illness to which all my children (five still living at home, out of nine, including one grandchild), followed by my wife of 28-1/2 years, fell ill, one by one (by judicious, brief fasting, they have also recovered just as quickly).

Somehow, despite all the things I had suffered the prior year, and minimal diet since returning home five months before, my immune system was able to hold out the longest.

But even I finally began to feel the ill effects of this relentless illness creeping over me, from head to toe.

Unlike the others, however, I knew how to deal with it proactively and preemptively, based on many past similar experiences in which I've successfully warded off such contagious monstrosities as this in years past.

So I immediately began a water and Vitamin C only fast, which lasted for nearly three days.

Like my son Sam, however, I decided to end my fast then (since I had not been nearly as ill as he had been, when starting his own fast), mainly because I was worried about the fact I had not yet regained all of the weight I had lost the last year.

(From 177 pounds, at 5 foot 11 inches tall, I had lost more than 25% of my former optimal weight, down to just 131 pounds, twice in seven months, and was back up to just 167 pounds from the 148 pounds I weighed when I finally regained my freedom.)

Also, like Sam, I regretted being so shortsighted.

Although my diet the next two days consisted of just a little sauerkraut, one meat patty, a few slices of fresh home-baked whole wheat bread with cashew and peanut butter and organic fruit jelly, a couple biscuits, non-vinegar pickles and one apple, spaced evenly over the entire two days, each night the dastardly infection began to creep back into my throat, and the second night my sinuses were beginning to show signs of rising infection.

This despite taking a tablespoon of Vitamin C every few hours, day and night, for five days running, and gargling with colloidal silver!

So, angry and determined not to succumb fully to this persistent pest of a pesky predator of good health and well-being, I finally decided to take the old "bull" by the horns, yet again, and so I began total fasting immediately (no fluids, no food, no nothing).

Is Simple Fast Healing Really Possible?

After nearly one day of full fasting, following two days of eating sparsely and three days near-total fasting before that, I'm already feeling a lot better.

And I know that another day, or two at most, of total fasting is all that I need to finally kick this thing in the head, and be rid of it for good.

I've learned this from much trial and error, and over three decades of practical hands-on experience.

And I've discovered that it really is possible to heal through simple fasting, and that this is a quick and fairly painless solution compared to the days, weeks and sometimes even months of suffering some people go through (and I used to also suffer, until I learned how to avoid all that).

Yes, if you can manage to overcome your own perhaps stubborn resistance to the idea that fasting so long is equal to starving, and turn that stubbornness to your benefit, there are very good reasons why fasting a few days might well be your simple solution to the evils some serious contagions can cause.

Of course, it goes without saying that you must do other things right as well; such as eating right all the rest of the time, getting plenty of rest while ill, and drinking plenty of fluids when not total fasting.

Not even the fear of feeling like you're starving to death is any excuse not to give this a good try,

Believe me, I know first hand what actual slow starvation feels like, and fasting is nothing like that.

Sure, it can leave you feeling a bit weak the first day (there are actually three main days to be aware of, when fasting can seem like a royal pain), but you can learn to expect and then overcome these hurtles to gain the vast and pleasant, perhaps even lifesaving, benefits of a simple fast for health.

If my own situation is any indication, not even a history of stroke or heart condition can be a serious impediment, although if you have a very weak heart or history of serious heart disease, you may need to consider COMPETENT medical advice.

(By "competent" I mean someone who has knowledge of, and experience in, fasting procedures, and NOT those who act just like some fresh-out-of medical school know-it-not, who presumes they've been taught everything it's possible to know about human health and well-being -- most don't even come near close -- without even basic training in the nutritional foundation of good health and vitality.)

Like everything you do in life, including taking medical advice, you do it at your own risk.

From my own experience, and knowledge of many others who have taken the same approach to health, I can only say that I know it works "as advertised" here, and should certainly be a part of everybody's health-preservative arsenal of weapons to use against the ravages of raging illness, sickness and disease.

Yes, a few years ago I was healed of a similar West Nile Virus-like illness, very similar to what our 15-year old son Sam recently experienced, that might have cost my own life at the time, but for my knowledge and use of simple fasting, despite the total avoidance of the usual, mostly and increasingly ineffective but costly, antibiotic treatments.

Yours for a healthy life!

Hank, the Frequent Fervent Faster

P.S. Since writing this, my recent fast turned out just as I expected it would, with complete recovery from my illness, before becoming seriously sick, within just a few days, before it could cause me any really serious discomfort or harm.
